Scott McCristal started A Lend Finance to do one job properly: get everyday Australians and small business owners approved on the asset they need, without the runaround.

Most of what comes through the door is the kind of file the big banks handle worst. Self-employed people. ABN holders under two years. Tradies who can comfortably afford the repayment but can’t produce two years of tax returns. One application goes across a panel of more than 60 lenders, so a decline from one bank is the start of the conversation rather than the end of it.

First car, first work ute, a boat, or the third machine for the business — you get a broker who knows your file, and a straight answer either way.

The work we do most

A deal usually falls over on the finance, not on the asset. A tradie who can comfortably afford the repayment, knocked back because his ABN is eighteen months old. A couple buying privately, told their bank “doesn't do that”. Good buyers, walking away from things they could pay for.

Those are the files we take. Lenders outside the big four write them every week, on different terms and different credit policies, and knowing which lender says yes to which file is the entire job.

How we work

• You deal with a real broker. Not a call centre, not a web form that disappears into a queue.
• You see the total cost before you sign. Repayment, term, balloon and fees in plain numbers — both ways, if a balloon is on the table.
• A straight answer, fast. Conditional approval usually lands within 24 to 48 hours. If it's a no, you hear that quickly too.
• No upfront fee. The lender pays us when your loan settles, and we disclose it before you sign.
